Where Do Ratings Come From?

Each match played generates a new Dynamic computer rating.

For Computer Rated Players:

For the Self-Rated Players:

First Match

Player’s Year-End rating is added to the number generated by the 1st match played.

This is divided by 2 and produces the first Dynamic NTRP Rating for the league year.

Second Match

Player’s Year-End rating, the 1st Dynamic Rating and the number generated by the 2nd match played are added together.

This is divided by 3 and produces the 2nd Dynamic NTRP Rating for the league year.

And so on . . .

This process continues always using the last 3 Dynamic Ratings and the number generated by the most current match played.

First Match

The number generated by the 1st match played produces the first Dynamic NTRP Rating for the league year.

Second Match

The number generated by the 2nd match played produces the 2nd Dynamic NTRP Rating for the league year.

Third Match

The number generated by the 3rd match played produces the 3rd Dynamic NTRP Rating for the league year.

Fourth Match

The number generated by the 4th match is added to the previous three dynamic ratings.    This number is divided by 4 to produce the 4th dynamic rating.

This process continues always using the last 3 Dynamic Ratings and the number generated by the most current match played.
