 2009 USTA League Super Senior Alabama Regulations
Alabama State Championship October 8-11, 2009 Huntsville 

Play is governed by all applicable USTA and USTA Southern section regulations and also by the code. 

LOCAL LEAGUE: 

1.                  Local league season.  Cities may have a local league season.  League seasons must end by September 10, 2009 (deadline may be adjusted by the state league coordinator).  Initial roster deadline is September 1, 2009.  All completed rosters are due on TennisLink by September 10, 2009.2.                  A team shall consist of a minimum of six players.

3.                  Each player shall have reached the age of 60 prior to or during the calendar year in which such player registers on TennisLink for super senior 60 and age 70 for super senior 70.

4.                  All participants must be current members of the USTA at the time of each competition.

5.                  A maximum of 4 players on a roster may reside outside of the state of Alabama.

6.                  Players may self rate in accordance with the NTRP guidelines if the player does not have a current NTRP computer rating.  Players who do not have a computer rating on file in TennisLink shall self rate in accordance with the NTRP guidelines and declare their self rating on TennisLink when registering for a team.  If a player’s rating is lowered during the Super Senior league season, the player must continue to use the rating submitted on the roster for that season.

7.                  The championship levels of play for 2009 are:  Super Senior 60 with 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 divisions and Super Senior 70 with 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 divisions.

 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

1.      All super senior teams that turn in a roster and submit a championship entry form by the appropriate deadlines are invited to the Alabama Super Senior state championship to be held in Huntsville on October 8 -11, 2009.  Players who participate in Super Senior 60 and Super Senior 70 divisions will not be accommodated in scheduling of event.  Only teams winning at the state championship may advance to the sectional championships, unless they are the only team at a level in the state, or the only winner out of a league in the state.
2.      Players on teams entered in the state championships that withdraw after the schedule has been published will be subject to a fine of $75 per person payable to Alabama Tennis Assoc.  Said players will be ineligible to compete in any USTA league, Southern Combo Doubles, Tri Level until the fine is paid.  An appeal may be submitted to the chairman of the Adult league committee within two weeks after the end of the championship.
3.      All championship entry forms, $20 per player, a copy of the TennisLink roster will be due to Jerrie Ciza at 3300 Highland Ave. South. Birmingham, AL 35205 no later than September 15, 2009.
