16, 2009) - The Pelham Challenge is
coming to the Pelham Civic Center on
Wednesday, Dec. 2. This thrilling night
will feature some of the best tennis in
the world including world #1 and seven
time grand slam champions the Bryan
Brothers, the #2 ranked American Mardy
Fish and 6'9 red hot John Isner!
United States
Davis Cup members, Bob and Mike Bryan
have been #1 in the world 4 out of the
past 5 years and are considered to be
one of the greatest doubles team of all
time. Winners of now all 4 grand slams,
Bob and Mike will look to defend their
2008 US Open title coming up in a couple
weeks. The Bryans opponents Mardy Fish
and John Isner are also two of the
America's best. Fish who has been as
high as #17 in the world is most well
known for capturing the silver medal for
the United States in 2004. Isner who
will partner with Fish to take own the
world's #1 pair, was the 2007 National
Champion at the University of Georgia,
and has most recently surged in the
rankings to #55 in the world. Fish and
Isner will first play a best 2 out 3 set
singles match before challenging the
Bryan Brothers in what is set to be one
of the most exciting sporting events in
Pelham history!
